IELTS

The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a widely recognized English language proficiency test used by universities, employers, and other organizations to evaluate the language skills of non-native English speakers. It is administered by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia, and the University of Cambridge English Language Assessment.

The IELTS test is available in two formats: the Academic version, which is intended for test takers who want to study at a higher education institution, and the General Training version, which is intended for test takers who want to migrate to an English-speaking country or for other purposes.

The IELTS test consists of four sections: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. The Reading section measures your ability to understand written English, the Writing section measures your ability to write clear and coherent English, the Listening section measures your ability to understand spoken English, and the Speaking section measures your ability to speak English fluently and coherently. The total testing time for the IELTS test is about 2 hours and 45 minutes.

The IELTS test is scored on a 9-band scale, with scores ranging from 0 (non-user) to 9 (expert user). Each section of the test is scored independently, and test takers receive separate scores for each section. The overall IELTS score is the average of the scores for each section.
