SSW (Specified Skilled Worker)

  The Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) visa is a program introduced by Japan in April 2019 to address labor shortages in certain sectors by allowing foreign workers to come to Japan for employment in specified industries. The program aims to help fill gaps in the workforce in areas where Japan faces a shortage of domestic workers, such as in agriculture, construction, nursing, hospitality, and manufacturing.
